Class B CDL Driver

Driver uses a variety of trucks to collect and transport non-hazardous used cooking oil from specified locations to be used in the production of biodiesel fuel. Bending, crouching and handling of large hoses required. The Driver documents collection volumes, customer information, and potential issues.

- Pre/post trip truck inspection
- Refuel trucks or add other fluids, such as oil or brake fluid.
- Follow established routes and adhering to all posted traffic laws, through residential streets, alleys and industrial areas. 
- Operate equipment that collects the used cooking oil, by way of automated or semi-automated hoses and pumps.
- Perform tank clean up, including grease and oil removal, as needed. 
- Daily reporting on route, customer, and collections information. 
- Communicate with manager concerning delays, unsafe sites, accidents and damage, traffic violations, equipment breakdowns, or other maintenance problems.
- Read, understand and follow company rules and regulations as well as OSHA and DOT standards and requirements.
- Perform minor preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.

- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. 
- A Washington State Driver's license, CDL Class B required. Tanker endorsement required by time of hire.
- Ability to pass a Driving Record Check and a Drug Test.
- Prior experience checking vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order. 
- Ability to communicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. 
- Good Customer Service experience in dealing with the public, clients and other employees, as well as strong organizational skills.
- Ability to use equipment such as vacuum pumps to clean up grease and other products.
- Must be able to lift up to 20-35 lbs at arms length as needed throughout the day
- Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 100 lbs occasionally during the shift.
- Ability to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and other military clearances after hire if needed.
- Mechanical experience strongly preferred.
- Need to be able to work independently or with little supervision once instructions are given.
- Ability to obtain security clearances for government installations.
